Sorry for slacking Sarah..lol.  I have absolutely no excuse to not keep this blog up to date other than pure laziness.    A lot has happened since my last post...which if memory serves me right was last year..oops.  Nevada started school this year and loves it.  We moved to a new place and we love it.  Actually, the kids go to the same elementary school I went to.    Both kids made up a sign about what they wanted to be when they grow up..found this idea on Pinterest.

 

Let's see...Christmas..our first Christmas in our new place was very nice..mind you this year we've had way too much snow and even now, it's Spring and we still had 2 snow storms since the first day of Spring...so enough already..lol.  This year we've added a new family member who we've adopted from the North Pole..his name is ChrisLilly and boy does he ever get into some mischief.  His first night there he decided to shave and made a mess everywhere.  He even made a spider web for the kids to break through on Christmas morning...and because he is such a special part of our family, he still writes to the kids and leaves them secret notes in our car for when I pick them up after school telling them how much he misses them.

So wow...it's been forever since I posted anything.  So much has been happening.  Nevada had her double eye surgery a few months ago and it seems to have worked however lately we've noticed that when she's not wearing her glasses that one of her eyes is starting to turn in again.  She needs to revisit her doctor to see if more surgery is needed.

So Nevada is finally having her eye surgery...we've only waited..what...3 years. Anyways, it's finally being done tomorrow and I thought I would add some before pics and then after the surgery and her all healed, I will add the after...see if there is a difference...so here is before: In the first picture, you can see how it's her right eye turning in...the second picture is her left eye turning in.

So we received Fox's report card from school the other day. He received an A in every subject but two..and those two he received B's..which is awesome as well. We're thinking he's going to be a weather man when he gets older cause for science, his teacher wrote "Fox can predict the types of weather for a certain season based on weather patterns". lol Just imagine.... "..and tonight on the 6 o'clock news, your weather specialist, Fox Thorne"...awesome!

Saying Goodbye is never easy

God looked around His garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon His earth and saw your loving face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest, His garden must be beautiful, He only takes the BEST. He knew that you were suffereing, He knew you were in pain, and he knew that you eould never get well, on this earth again. He saw your path was difficult, He closed your tired eyes. He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly. When we saw you sleeping, so calm and free of pain, we would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again. You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide. You live on through your children, you're always by our side. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you on the day God called you home.

Nanny....I love and miss you more than anyone will ever know.

Here are my beautiful children on Fox's first day of Grade One. Phil and I are so very proud of him. This next picture is a picture of both Fox and Nevada wearing their Nanny Deborah's sunglasses. She's no longer with us but we make sure that we keep her memory alive either with a picture, a talk or even physical objects.

Wednesday :(

Well, it's been a long time coming but Fox is finally going to have tubes put in his ears. The infections have been coming more and more frequently, 3 in the last month so the doctor finally has agreed to do it. Here's hoping it'll work and stop his infections. Nothing worse then not being able to take the pain away from your children.
